My school’s GSA was the first place where I was able to immerse myself within the LGBTQ+ community and really understand my identity. Being able to educate myself and others, lend support to my peers, and bring awareness to important issues has had a profound impact on me. Starting a GSA Club is one of the most significant things you can do to provide a sense of security, community, and sanguinity for LGBTQ+ students at your school.
